Musings from Camp (3210) Montana
A week before Christmas and the house is a mess
But somehow we’ll manage without too much stress.
Camp Montana is cold and it’s dusty each day
No holiday entertaining not this year, no way.
The kitchen’s reduced to less than half size
And to hide the exposure just cover your eyes.
With holes in the walls the house is a bit breezy
And sheets cover these spots and it looks a bit cheesy.
The washer and dryer are hold up in the garage
Adding trips to the Laundromat, it must be a mirage.
The refrigerator’s placed prominently in the cramped dining room
Providing heat from the motor looking like an upright tomb.
Without an oven I will have to make due
No cookies, no turkey, no baking it’s true.
The barebones bathroom boasts of a new toilette as throne
And if you complain I will cast the first stone.
But there’s a tree in the corner with presents galore
The fire is a blazing and there is something much more.
We find comfort and respite in our newly remodeled spot
Where the pool is sparkling and the spa is quite hot.
So we’ll celebrate Hanukah and Christmas the same day as you know
Singing feliz navi-dreidal, eating take out and swimming without snow!
With margaritas in Puerte Vallarta soon we will boast
As we celebrate the New Year with a Mexican toast.
And so from Jacob and Jonathan and Dennis and me
As we’re bundled up snuggled up warm as can be,
Wish gladness of heart and laughter and cheer
Merry Christmakah to all and to all a wonderful New Year.
