Hold Hands, Not Fists

Just as clenching teeth is not healthy, the body language of a clenched fist demonstrates anger.

In a time when protests have become commonplace from coast to coast, I have discovered that an open hand can hold more than a clenched fist.

We live in a world of mixed messages. Having learned to kneel before my God, kneeling in prayer, what is the message given to take a knee to call attention to the issues of racial inequality and police brutality?

There was a time when a clenched fist means one did a good job and achieved a certain level of success. Now, a raised clenched fist expresses defiance, resistance, or solidarity.
